The Federated States of Micronesia consist of four states, Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap, and the states are divided into municipalities. This list gives each state with its ISO 3166-2 code and capital, and 74 municipalities: 35 in Chuuk, 5 in Kosrae, 12 in Pohnpei and 22 in Yap.

Islands, atolls and municipalities
Chuuk State is built around Chuuk Lagoon, whose islands, among them Weno, Tol, Udot, Uman and Fefan, carry most of its people, and it adds outer island groups: the Mortlock Islands to the south-east, the Hall Islands to the north, Namonuito Atoll to the north-west and the Pattiw region to the west. Oneop, Lukunor, Satawan and Namoluk are among the outer municipalities. With 35 entries Chuuk has the longest list.
Yap State consists of four main islands, Rumung, Maap, Gagil-Tamil and Yap Proper, and many smaller ones, and the municipalities of the main islands sit beside atolls such as Ulithi and Woleai. The English Wikipedia article on the state counts 21 municipalities; the list has 22, because it gives Gaferut Island a line of its own. The names follow English spelling, so Maap appears as Map.

Moen became Weno, and Pohnpei has two capitals
The capital of Chuuk State appears in the list under its older name, Moen; the island municipality is now called Weno. The ISO code of the state, FM-TRK, still keeps Truk, the earlier name of Chuuk.
For Pohnpei the list gives Palikir as the capital. Palikir is the capital of the federation; the state itself is governed from Kolonia, which is also one of its twelve municipalities. Kosrae, with only five municipalities, is governed from Tofol and Yap from Colonia.
