Codes, names and changes: ISO 3166-2:NA on the ISO Online Browsing Platform, as tabulated in Wikipedia's ISO 3166-2:NA, checked 28 October 2026. ISO writes the southern region //Karas; the regional name uses the click letter ǁ.
English names, Afrikaans and German forms
English is the official language, and the official names are English: Erongo Region, Khomas Region, Walvis Bay Urban. Afrikaans and German stay in daily use, so both versions are given. Afrikaans puts the generic word first, Streek Erongo, and writes some names in its own spelling: Kawango-Oos, Omoesati, Osjana, Osjikoto, Otjozondjoepa and Sambesi for Zambezi. German says Region Erongo and Region Sambesi and adds Ost and West, Land and Stadt where English has East, West, Rural and Urban.
Click letters appear in three names. The southern region is ǁKaras, the constituency of Lüderitz is ǃNamiǂNûs, and one Windhoek constituency is named after Moses ǁGaroëb. The signs ǁ, ǃ and ǂ are Unicode letters for the lateral, alveolar and palatal clicks of Khoekhoe; ISO 3166-2 substitutes two slashes in //Karas.
All 121 constituencies, region by region
Every constituency of the 14 regions in the same three languages. Afrikaans and German translate only the descriptive parts of a name, such as Rural and Urban or East and West; the place names themselves stay as they are, apart from Walvisbaai and Windhuk.

Count: 121 constituencies since the fourth Delimitation Commission of 2013, as stated in Wikipedia's List of constituencies of Namibia and confirmed by NamibiaFactCheck, checked 28 October 2026. The fifth commission handed its report to the President in January 2025 and recommended ten new constituencies (The Namibian); no proclamation of them was found on that date. The same Wikipedia list now gives Musese and Ncuncuni in Kavango West where this table has Kahenge and Tondoro, a single Rundu Rural in Kavango East, and the spellings Kabbe North, Sibbinda, Khomasdal, Ondangwa Rural, Opuwo Urban and Okorukambe.
Kavango split, Caprivi renamed, 121 constituencies
The regional map was redrawn in 2013. The fourth Delimitation Commission split Kavango into Kavango East, centred on Rundu, and Kavango West, centred on Nkurenkuru, and renamed Caprivi as Zambezi. The number of constituencies rose from 107 to 121, and new names entered the list, among them John Pandeni and Samora Machel in Khomas, Dâures in Erongo and Ndonga Linena in Kavango East.
Two centres are easy to mistake: Ohangwena is administered from Eenhana, not from Oshikango, and Oshikoto from Omuthiya, not from Tsumeb. ISO 3166-2 recorded the split of Kavango and the new name Zambezi in 2014 and changed the spelling of //Karas in 2020.
